Through the Looking Glass is aimed at talented, entrepreneurial and gifted A-Level students from Qualifying Schools in London and the surrounding area.

What Is A "Qualifying School"?

A Qualifying School is a state school or sixth form within easy travelling distance of the City of London that serves an area of recognised disadvantage. In practice this usually means a school in one of the London boroughs or neighbouring districts that fall within the most deprived areas on the Index of Multiple Deprivation, a school with above-average eligibility for free school meals, or a school in a neighbourhood with low progression to higher education.

We know these measures do not capture every situation, so if your school sits just outside them and you have a student who would benefit, please still get in touch.
If you are the head teacher at a school you think could qualify and you have a student in mind, please contact us at:
We will provide further details of the programme and confirm whether we can take your school forward for that year's cohort. Places are limited and participation is at the sole discretion of the Trustees.

Who Would Be A "Qualifying Student"?

A student, who is at least 16 years of age, studying A-Levels at a Qualifying School who is curious about the City of London and ready to make the most of a week inside it.
